This is the easiest of all the walks as it is completely flat - except the steep descent from the town to the riverbed. It is a walk along the Rio Verde riverbed and follows the river down to the sea (if you wished) - however there are a number of drop off spots such as Jete, or the petrol station or Torrecuevos (under the new motorway bridge).
You will pass the statue of the Virgen del Agua on the way.
You need to do two things in particular - arrange for a car to be at the destination (unless you want to walk all the way back to Otivar of course!), and take shoes that you are happy to get wet as there are numerous spots where a bit of paddling is unavoidable.
It is great for dogs etc.
Otivar to Torrecuevas takes around 2hrs 15 mins at a reasonable pace. But you can do it in an hour and a half - without expending too much energy !!
